The Ultimate Truth in Spirituality: Beyond the Physical

A human being has the most attachment and love for his own body, but our body is not the ultimate truth in spirituality. It is mortal, it has a shape, and humans have different shapes—so how can the human body be the truth? Everything that is mortal and has a shape can never be the ultimate truth in spirituality. The meaning of truth is that which is not mortal, that which is formless is the truth.

And our God is the only one who is not mortal, who has no form—He is formless. We give a shape to the idol of God because He has shown us that form, which is why we feel that this is the shape or form of God. But in reality, God is formless. That is why whatever we see or whatever we are attracted to is not actually the truth. The ultimate truth in spirituality is that only God is the eternal truth.

Hare Krishna.
