In Ramayan, the description of the form of Mother Sita was heard by Ravana and Hanuman too. Ravana heard it from Supnakha, and Hanuman ji heard it from Shri Ram ji. Both went to search for Mother Sita鈥攆irst, Ravana disguised himself as a saint, and later, Hanuman ji found her in Ashoka Vatika. But there was a difference between the two: Ravana met her due to the wish of Bhoga, while Hanuman ji met her due to the wish of service.
The meaning of this story is that even if we listen to the story from a Tilak Dhari or Kanthidhari, if they are not interested in the story and if there is no Power of Devotion in their heart, then there is no benefit for us in listening to the story from them.
We need to listen to the story from someone who has Power of Devotion in their heart, someone who is truly interested in the divine story. Only then will devotion be awakened in our heart, and we can truly worship and share the story with sincerity.
