Gita suggests that instead of being motivated by fear or desire, resolve to be motivated by duty or love. This is the real message of Gita. While fighting with Duryodhana in Kurukshetra, Arjuna was ready to defeat him but as soon as he saw Pitamah Bhishma and Guru Drona, he fell into a dilemma. He said – Hey Krishna, “I am confused about my identity. I know that my objective is to fight Duryodhana, but I am the grandson of my grandfather, a disciple of Guru Dron. I should love my grandfather and respect my Guru. What should I do?”
At this time, Arjun lost the strength to take a decision, his hands started shaking, and the bow started slipping from his hand. Arjun knew how to fight the war, but he forgot why to fight the war. This is where Bhagavad Gita wisdom comes into play. The meaning of this story is that there are many such moments in life when we feel like fighting, but we lose the desire to fight.
Bhagavad Gita wisdom gives us this strength that whenever we feel helpless in life, we should never become hopeless. This is the basic message of Gita – “You can be helpless, but never become hopeless.”
Hare Krishna.
